Birthday weigh-in at 9 months of age: 52 pounds.

Weigh-In

Vinson has officially crossed the 50 pound mark! Official weight: 50.5 pounds. Next Sunday, he'll be 9 months old.

Weigh-In

Vinson is starting to fill out - especially in the chest - and his strength is every increasing, yet we're still sure he'll be a medium sized guy when fully grown. Last night's weigh-in: 47 pounds.

23 Weeks Old

Vinson is 23 weeks old today - he'll be 6 months next Sunday. Weigh-in: 34 pounds.

Milestones

Vinson has crossed a few more milestones:

1. First, he turned 22 weeks old on Sunday, and weighed in at 33 pounds.


2. Second, he lost another tooth and left it for us to find instead of gobbling it up.


3. Third, Vinson is now officially too tall to fit through the cat doors in our gates - which makes things a lot easier around the house.


4. Last, but certainly not least, Vinson was so excited to see Pat and Garcia this morning that he leaped over the gate in my office door to go and say hello!

I'll be working on number 4 should another gate-jumping attempt be made!

Another Trip to Highlands Veterinary Hospital in Sparta

The good folks at Highlands Veterinary Hospital in Sparta, NJ love seeing Vinson, and he had an appointment last night for the "L" (leptospirosis) in the DHLPP inoculation series.

As is typical with Vinson, he didn't whine or wince at all, and he posed proudly in the waiting area, on the scale and even on the exam table!

Up on the scale, Vinson weighed in at 29.5 pounds.

On his way out, Vinson was happy to leave behind a big stack of his personal business cards for other visitors to the office.

And then we were off for another adventure.

Happy Eighteen Weeks, Vinson!

Vinson is four-and-a-half months old today. Official weigh-in: 27.6 pounds.

17 Weeks Old: Weigh-In

Vinson is 17 weeks old today. He weighed in at 26.2 pounds!

Tooth Loss for Vinson, Weight Loss for Ryan

During one of our routine checks of Vinson's gums and mouth we've discovered that he has indeed lost the first of many puppy teeth, confirming he's right on schedule and he'll continue losing his sharp puppy teeth over the coming weeks.

Interestingly, we also discovered that I have lost a little over 10 pounds in the three weeks since he's been out of the cast - due mostly to the increased amount of walking we've been doing together.

A win-win for sure!

16 Weeks Old

Vinson officially turned 16 weeks old on Sunday.

Another trip to the vet brought him up to date on his latest DHLPP inoculation ("D" is for canine distemper; "H" is for infectious hepatitis; "L" is for leptospirosis; "P" is for parainfluenza virus; the second "P" is for parvovirus).

Official weight: 24.4 pounds!
